The backstory
From the casting room to the novel.
After earning a double major in Broadcast Journalism and Spanish from Marquette University and studying abroad in Mexico and Spain, Lisabeth moved to Los Angeles to intern for travel journalist Peter Greenberg. And yes, she met celebrities — the most memorable being Francis Ford Coppola and former New Zealand Prime Minister Helen Clark.
After not getting a job with The Apprentice, she began a casting career on location in Kauai as cast coordinator for Discovery Kids’ Endurance, then worked as a Casting Associate on prime-time television.
Years spent inside the machinery of broadcast television give her fiction its edge: The Luminescence Manual asks what happens when the companies that tell us the news start deciding what we should think.

Producer for a multimedia company — broadcast, video, motion graphics and business theatre.
Editorial
Editor and writer for four issues of a travel magazine; today she proofreads, edits and develops content.
