Portrait of Audra Worlow

The backstory

From the courthouse to the column.

Audra earned a degree in applied health science from Bowling Green State University, then spent five years at a county prosecutor’s office in Ohio, working homicide and sex-crime cases. She left to focus on her family and on writing.

That time inside the justice system shapes her work. She writes about predators and child protection, addiction, healthcare, ambition and modesty — and about the cultural fights playing out in schools, which she has also covered for The Federalist under her maiden name, Audra Facinelli.

She describes herself simply: Catholic, wife, mother and writer. At Wrong Speak she edits and writes across science, pop culture, politics, philosophy and crime.
